PCG has opened the first RusAgroMarket WDC in Novosibirsk

A bold, unique format for Russia, designed for customers of all categories

The first wholesale distribution centre (WDC) of the RusAgroMarket federal chain opened in Novosibirsk. The investment in the project is 8.6bn rubles. The inauguration was attended by the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region, Andrey Travnikov, General Director of the Investment Development Agency of the Novosibirsk Region, Alexander Zyryanov and the founders of RusAgroMarket Holding.

The WDC is a modern multifunctional trading and logistics platform that provides food market players with access to storage, finishing, prepackaging, distribution and integrated logistics services for fresh produce. The digital infrastructure and unified electronic marketplace platform created based on WDCs will make it possible to find suppliers and buyers of food products in real-time.

The facility was opened within the Industrial and Logistics Park and serves to actively develop the agro-industrial and investment potential of the Novosibirsk Region. The total area of the first stage of the Novosibirsk project is 103,000m2. The WDC includes two multi-temperature and freezer terminals, as well as pavilions for wholesale trade, serving space and technical buildings and facilities.

Andrey Travnikov noted that in terms of its scale even the first stage of the new project is a whole city of logistics centres. "A bold, unique format for Russia, designed for clients of any category, of any scale, from a farmer to a large wholesaler and distributor. This is particularly important for the Novosibirsk Region because we actively develop small and medium-sized businesses, and support projects, especially in the agro-industrial sector, aimed at developing intra-regional cooperation. I am confident that this food park will be a strong integrator, a good stimulus for the development of business and production relations between our agricultural producers, processors, consumption networks and organisations.”

The Novosibirsk Region Investment Development Agency, JSC (hereafter IDA) is comprehensively supporting RusAgroMarket-Novosibirsk's investment project to create a pilot WDC facility in the Novosibirsk Region. "We can see impressive results of the work done. We believe that RusAgroMarket will become a development driver for agricultural and food producers in the region," says General Director of IDA, Alexander Zyryanov.

"This is the first project in Russia that has all the most modern features, IT infrastructure, a logistics component, and modern areas for storage, finishing, processing, packaging and shipment of products. We are just at the beginning of our journey, and we will have to accomplish the most important things with the help of the Siberians here, in Novosibirsk," says Vladimir Ermoshin, PCG’s partner.

RusAgroMarket's main investors are the state corporation of development called VEB.RF and the investment company PCG.
